An electric arc is generated between the nozzle (anode) and the electrode (cathode) inside the gun, which ionises the moisture between them to achieve a plasma state. At this time, the ionised vapour is ejected out of the nozzle in the form of a plasma beam by the pressure generated inside, and its temperature is about 8000°C.
